Robert Miller Gallery was founded by the American art dealer Robert Miller and his wife, Betsy Wittenborn Miller, in 1977. The gallery was located first on 5th Avenue, later in the Fuller Building on East 57th Street, and finally on 26th Street in Chelsea (all in Manhattan), New York City, NY..[1]

The gallery has worked with Yayoi Kusama, Ai Weiwei, Louise Bourgeois, David Hockney, Leon Kossoff, Lee Krasner, Patti Smith, Robert Mapplethorpe, Joan Mitchell, Alice Neel, Georgia O'Keeffe, Andy Warhol, and Tom Wesselmann, and with the estates of Diane Arbus[2], Eva Hesse and Jean-Michel Basquiat[3]
