Ronald Pater

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Ronald Frederik Pater (Groningen, 25 oktober 1983) is a Dutch DJ and record producer. Better known as one part of the electronic music duo Propulsive, Pater makes music which, depending on the project, varies between progressive, house, deep house, EDM, electronica and trance music.

Propulsive[edit]

Apart from his solo project, he creates music together with Diederick van Loo under their alias Propulsive, which has been approved and played by the likes of Tiësto and others. His previous project - also together with Van Loo - went by the name of MuseArtic, which had a more trance sound.

Developing musical and technical skills[edit]

Pater started developing his musical and technical skills at the age of two, when his father had him experimenting with record players, cassette tapes and instruments such as an electric organ. He started DJing in the area of Zwolle, where he grew up. It was this period when he met Van Loo. Inspired by his ‘mentor’, producer Bob Snoeijer, he started creating his own music and building his own studio.

First record and publishing deals[edit]

After releasing his first record with MuseArtic, ‘At Sunrise’, on Menno de Jong’s Intuition Recordings, he decided that making music and releasing records was all he ever wanted. Luckily they were given the chance to sign their first publishing contract in 2014, with MusicAllStars Publishing, Since then, they released track on labels such as Reset Records (a Spinnin’ Records sublabel), Powerhouse and PM Records. All his (and Van Loo’s) releases combined have over a million streams on Spotify.
