Ruben's Place
Ruben's Place is an Independent 2012 LGBT film about a young man named Ruben, who on returning to his childhood home to take care of his sick father, takes a job with his Uncle, and reopens a friendship with his boyhood friend Jimmy.
In the film, the two main characters, Ruben is played by Dawson Montoya and Jimmy is played by Jason Lieu. Ruben's father is played by David Klein. Ruben also has an an Uncle named Vic who is played by Ray Renati. Uncle Vic has a girlfriend named Mercedes, who is played by Solana Crawford. All local Bay Area Actors, it was filmed on a Canon 7D camera over the course of two months in the small town of Alviso, California where the location of the story is based on.
