SHVS
SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) is a mild hibrid system that assist the internal combustion engines from Suzuki. It was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015:.[1] as part of the concept iM-4 which will be later known as the second generation of the Suzuki Ignis. The concept was equipped with new DUALJET 1.2 liter engine. A detailed implementation of the system has been presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2016[2]
SHVS has three main components[3][4]
- Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) which acts as a generator and an starter motor;
- Lithium-ion Battery under the front passenger seat;
- Lead-acid Battery;
