Sachin Mote is an Indian screenplay writer, producer, and actor who mostly works in the Marathi cinema and entertainment industry. He is known as the screenplay writer of the Marathi-language play Ek Daav Bhatacha and television shows such as Fu Bai Fu, Comedichi Bullet Train, Maharashtra Chi Hasya Jatra,[1] and the Hindi-language show R. K. Laxman Ki Duniya. He has also worked on such films as Masta Chalalay Aamcha,[2] Khari Biscuit,[3] and Mogra Phulaalaa.

Sachin Mote was born in the Satara district of Maharashtra. He obtained a diploma in pharmacy at Satara Polytechnic. Following this, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Pune University. After participating in a play during his pharmacy college days, he decided to get a formal education in drama. He obtain his acting certification in 1991, participating in theatre workshops taught by Satyadev Dubey.
Career[edit]
In 1997, Mote moved to Mumbai in order to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He began by writing and performing in theatre plays, before moving into television and film. He has written numerous episodes of various TV serials, both in Marathi and Hindi, including Fu Bai Fu, R. K. Laxman ki Duniya, Mrs Tendulkar, and Bha Se Bhade.[1] Mote's first film scriptwriting credit was the 2011 production Mast Chalalay Aamcha.[2] Other films he has worked on include Khari Biscuit[3] (for which he won the Radiocity Best Screenplay Award),[4] Mogara Phulala,[5] Pune Via Bihar, Daav Pech,[6] and Superstar.[7] In 2021, he took on the show Maharashtra chi Hasya jatra as writer and producer.[1]
Mote has written many successful theatre plays, such as Amchya Hicha Prakaran,[8] Gochi Premachi, and Bajirao Mast Mi.[9]
