Saif Sumaida[edit]

Saif Sumaida has been a real estate developer and construction manager for over 25 years in New York City.He started his company Foundations Group in 1993. Since then, the firm has grown into one of the most largest non-union constructions management firms in New York City. He has built over 1.5 million square feet of luxury condos, office buildings, boutique hotels, high-end residential interiors and retail properties in Manhattan.[1]

Saif Sumaida received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cooper Union.

Projects[edit]

Currently, he is developing over 314,000 square feet of developments in Manhattan. His projects include 522 West 29th Street, a luxury residential project on a property spanning 115,000 square feet,152 Elizabeth Street, a 32,000 square feet residential project, and 611 West 56th Street, a 173,000 square feet residential project. Previously, he co-developed 157 Hudson Street, a 105,000 square feet luxury residential building in Tribeca, 520 West 27th Street, a 65,000 square feet commercial condominium project in West Chelsea, and 145 6th Avenue, a 70,000 square feet residential and commercial condominium conversion in Soho.[2]

Sumaida + Khurana[edit]

A New York-based development firm founded by Saif Sumaida and Amit Khurana, the Sumaida + khurana firm’s and its affiliates are currently in development on upwards of 300,000 SF. of ground-up residential projects in Manhattan with a total projected sellout of approximately $700 million[3]. They closed a $65.2 million acquisition of two properties owned by grocery store magnate John Catsimatidis. Additionally, the firm’s construction management affiliate, Foundations Group, is presently building 15 new development projects in excess of $550 million in construction value. Foundations Group is currently building 1.2 million SF. across its 11 ground-up construction projects and 4 residential conversions.  Sumaida + Khurana and Foundations Group currently employs upwards of 100 professionals across project management, cost estimating, financial analysis, accounting, administration, and various construction personnel.[4] The New York Post named Sumaida and Khurana as 2 of the 20 biggest power players in New York City Real Estate.[5]

Siras[edit]

Saif Sumaida is a managing partner in Siras group, a real estate group building commercial, hospitality and residential developments of extraordinary quality  based in New York. His business is a collaborative effort of three partners who are thoroughly involved in all aspects of each project, from conception through construction and sale.[6]

His work has been written up in publications, including the Architectural Digest,New York Post, Real Estate Weekly, and Harper’s Bazaar, and exhibited in the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Museum of The City of New York, and the MoMA, among other museums and galleries.
