Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church Reno Nevada
Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Reno Nevada is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Reno, Nevada USA. The parish is located in the southwest of Reno, NV USA at 100 Bishop Manouge Drive.[1] Bishop Manogue Catholic High School is located next door to the church at 110 Bishop Manogue Drive.[2] The High School is notable because it is the only Catholic High School in Northern Nevada. [2]The parish is named after it's patron, Saint Rose of Lima.[3]
History[edit]
Under the direction of Reno's Bishop, Phillip F. Straling, Father Tom Donnelly founded the church in 1996. Eleven years later, in 2007 Father Tom retired and the current pastor, Father Larry Morrison became the second pastor of the church. [3]Father Joseph Abraham is the Parochial Vicar, while Deacon Auguste Lemaire serves both priests.
