Reece William Tyzzer (born 7 August 2003) is a British rapper, singer and songwriter who rose to fame in 2021, releasing the singles "Fuck Boris" featuring DROPOUTS and "Fuck Covid" featuring Snowy Joe. Tyzzer's debut studio album, "Game Changer", was released in 2020, after which he has released multiple studio albums including his most successful, "Mental War", "Saints & Sinners" & "K.I.N.G". Tyzzer has millions of streams across streaming platforms and millions of views on YouTube music videos.
Tyzzer has previously been signed to 2 labels, "Bentley Records" and "War Media", a label he also owned.
Early life[edit]
Tyzzer was born in Southampton, Hampshire, and he grew up in the village of Hedge End. He grew up heavily interested in music, specifically hip hop, heavy rock & alternative rock. He was inspired by many rappers across different sub-genres of the hip-hop industry including Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly, Juice Wrld & XXXTentacion. While T carries a different sound entirely due to his British accent and style, similarities can still be found in the lyrics and flow to the artists previously mentioned. Reece was also inspired by many different rock bands throughout his childhood and teenage years such as Green Day, Bring Me The Horizon and LINKIN Park. Which similarities can also be found in his alternative/rock songs later into his career.
Career[edit]
Early career[edit]
Saint T began his career as a recording artist in December 2019, releasing 2 singles featuring Damian Adams & BTB. These singles were followed up by his debut studio album, "Game Changer", released on 1 June 2020. This album included one of Tyzzer's most successful songs to date, "Pocket Full of Stars (Remix)" featuring Nine Black Alps, an official remix of a song featured originally on the soundtrack of Surf's Up (film).
Shortly later in 2020, Saint T collaborated with recording artist and long-time friend, BTB for a joint EP, "Downfall?". One particular song from this project, "On the Map" alongside the music video was rather popular around the local area of Southampton. Finally, in November of 2020, Saint T released "The Joker", a song featuring American rapper TooFaced, a rapper which Saint T had previously recorded a diss track about. This song's music video was another glimpse of fame for Tyzzer, branching out to the United States.
2021 - Rise to fame[edit]
Saint T released his second studio album, "Mental War" on 8 January 2021, which he considers to be some of his best work. The album focused purely on emotion and feeling, gaining Tyzzer thousands of fans who enjoyed this type of music. He considers this album to be ahead of his abilities at that time, which is why he spent eight months working on making the project perfect.
Following "Mental War", the rapper released multiple songs which are some of his most popular songs to date. "Where Do We Go From Here?" and "Emotions" were released at the start of 2021, and they are very personal to Tyzzer, but also relatable to the listeners, gaining him thousands of streams and converting those listeners over to listen to the previous album, "Mental War". Another 2 songs from the beginning of 2021 which were successful were "Never Forget" featuring BTB & Fat.z, and "Let Me Talk" featuring KAEL, BTB & Reuben Brown.
All 4 of those singles from early 2021 were included in Tyzzer's most streamed project of all time, "Saints & Sinners". This album was released on 1 June 2021, and Tyzzer used a marketing tactic by gaining fans all over the UK from his viral TikTok songs, and converting them over to this album. The project features various different artists that Tyzzer has worked with before, and some for the first time. There is an overarching theme throughout Saints & Sinners, about Tyzzer's own struggle and battle with confliction in his life and decision making. The contrast between emotion when listening also further suggests this, with some tracks being focused on energy and self-confidence through the lyrics and sound. And some tracks being the complete opposite focusing solely on sadness, anger and depression.
Viral TikTok Songs[edit]
On 10 February 2021, Saint T released viral song, "Fuck Covid" with famous YouTube and TikTok star, Snowy Joe. The song mocks the condition of the UK government around the time of the break-out of the Corona virus (Covid-19). The two recorded their verses and parts for the music video from their hometowns. It is a comedy song, but listeners also found it very catchy and that is believed to be the main reason for its success.
Following the success of Saint T & Snowy Joe's track, "Fuck Covid", the 2 came together again to make a song which would be the most popular song by Saint T to date. On 20 June 2021, "Fuck Boris" was released featuring DROPOUTS, a YouTube group with members being Snowy Joe, Rampz & Manter. The 3 YouTube stars recorded the music video alongside Saint T in May of 2021, in different spots across Central London, including the London Eye. The video was then released in June alongside the song, now having millions of streams and views across all platforms. This was Tyzzer's first break through, being involved in a song trending across the United Kingdom.
2021-2022[edit]
Shortly after Saint T released his infamous viral songs, he teamed up with BTB to make their second joint EP, "Level Up". This was a very successful project, recording their most professionally produced songs so far. A song that stood out on the EP was "TNT", featuring Manter, Fat.z & Logan Renouf. On 15 September 2021, Tyzzer announced his retirement from music, due to personal reasons. He said he would be taking a step back from the scene but would release certain projects on the down low, which would be more private and personal, less comedic.
Over 2022, the songwriter released 4 albums, "WOW I'M ABLAZE", "prepare to be alone", "Nightmare Life" and "Past & Present: Fucking Cancelled", in that order. Although these projects were promoted less, it gave him the opportunity to branch out with his sound into a more melodic approach. He put out his first seasonal/Christmas song called "A Solo Christmas" in December of 2022, which shows his melodic progress after branching out to other rap sub-genres.
2023-2024[edit]
Saint T released more music in 2023, with a music video recorded in Los Angeles and features with famous rappers such as Royce Da 5'9". Due to his new versatility, Tyzzer considers his final album of 2023, "Silence for the Conflicted" to be some of his best work. He also released a joint album with long-time friend BTB called "Chasing Fate" in May 2023, their first album together after various EPs and singles. In terms of singles which he released singularly, one of them is "Millions", a very personal track released in September 2023 in which Tyzzer talks about serious topics.
2024 was a difficult year for Tyzzer due to personal circumstances, which made it hard to release anything. He put out highly-popular album across all streaming platforms called "K.I.N.G" on 8 January 2024, exactly 3 years after Mental War. This was recorded entirely in 2023 however, but was still very high in streams with features from Royce Da 5'9", X-Raided and King Lil G. He was still able to release a few singles throughout the year despite only being able to record music at limited times. On top of the singles, there was a short EP put out called "The Final Chapter" and a compilation called "The Full Circle Collection".
