Santiago Javier Armesilla Conde (Madrid, Spain, January 18, 1982) is a Spanish political scientist, economist, essayist and marxist writer.
Santiago Armesilla was born in the working-class neighborhood of Usera, Madrid, in 1982. He studied at the Colegio San Viator and at the I. E. S. Cervantes de Embajadores.
He obtained his doctorate from the Complutense University of Madrid within the official doctoral program of Political and Social Economy in the Framework of Globalization. Armesilla has a master's degree in Political and Administration Sciences with a specialty in Political Analysis and another in Teacher Training for ESO and Baccalaureate, FP and Language Teaching with the specialty of Training and Labor Orientation. He is also a Bachelor of Political and Administration Sciences. 
He was a militant in the PCE and in the DRY association. He currently resides in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a Postdoctoral fellow at the Conicet and the University of Buenos Aires and a collaborator in the online magazine The Communist Reason. . Santiago Armesilla supports Gustavo Bueno's philosophical materialism and of the unity of Spain in the national question, being critical of the independence movements, economic liberalism and political progressivism within leftist parties such as Podemos.
