Sarsenbek Aliakparuly Montaev (Kazakh: Сәрсенбек Монтаев; born 15 December 1959) is a Soviet and Kazakh scientist. He is in the 2% most authoritative scientists in the world.[1][not in citation given]
Early life and education[edit]
Sarsenbek Aliakbaruly Montaev was born on December 15, 1959 in the village named after I. Zhakhaev of the Shieli District of the Kyzylorda Region. He is one of seven children of his father Aliakbar Montaev, a war veteran and mother Shonyk apai.[2]
He was educated in the Soviet Union and the Kazakh SSR. In 1983, Sarsenbek graduated with honors from the Jambyl Hydromelioration and Construction Institute with a degree in industrial and civil engineering.[3]

Career[edit]
From 1991 to 2005 he worked as deputy dean, head of department and dean at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda State University.
Since 2001 he has been a corresponding member of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.[4]
From 2005 to 2013, he worked as dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University Zhangir Khan.
In 2009, he completed a scientific internship in Japan as part of the international Bolashak program, specialising in nanotechnology[5][6]
In 2013 to 2020, he worked as the director of the Research Institute of Engineering and Resource Conservation.
From 2020 to the present, works as the director of the Industrial and Technological Institute at the West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University named after Zhangir Khan.[7]

He has published over 70 scientific papers and 2 monographs. He has eight copyrights and four patents.[8]
