Sava Ipić

Sava Ipić (Novi Sad, Austria-Hungary, 12 February 1894 - Belgrade, Serbia, Yugoslavia, 14 April 1958) was a Serbian painter and portraitist.[1][2]

Biography[edit]

He studied painting at Royal Art School in Belgrade,[3] the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 1925. Upon graduation, he returned to Novi Sad where he painted motifs, most often landscapes Salajke, Podbare and Shanghai. In addition to landscapes, he painted portraits, and self-portraits.

He also dealt with sculpture and photography. He also exhibited at joint exhibitions in Belgrade and Novi Sad. He exhibited independently in Novi Sad in 1929, 1931, 1932, 1952 and 1955. Many exhibitions of his paintings were organized posthumously since he passed away.
