Scarecrow Statelet

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Scarecrow Statelet known also as Pocket-sized State of Scarecrows and in original language Državica Ptičjestrašilna is a multilayered work of art by Milena Kosec in the form of an imaginary (fictional) state consisting of events in public spaces, exhibitions and written documents. The Scarecrow Statelet combines reality and imagination, the political and the personal, as well as the feminine and the masculine. Its main purpose is exploring the complexity of life via the (personal) object world through women's eyes with a critical outlook on society and a high degree of self-irony.[1] thumb|Zastava desno|thumb|Zig

Basic facts[edit]

The Scarecrow Statelet was founded on May 14th 1992 in the vegetable garden of Vila Katarina in Ljubljana, Slovenia, EU to ensure social and economic security as well as dignity to its citizens. The founding event was held with the help of numerous random collaborators. Upon entering the Scarecrow Statelet, the visitors were given a passport with a scarecrow personal identification number (EMŠO), and thus became honorary citizens. Milena Kosec was named Officially Authorized and Initiated Trustee of the Scarecrow Statelet.[2] Scarecrows known as Scarecrowians are the indigenous inhabitants of the Statlet. People may obtain an honorary citizenship, which is granted to them automatically when they visit the Statelet or when they meet the Officially Authorized and Initiated Trustee. Under the law, people have the same rights and duties as Scarecrowians as long as they are patriotic. Scarecrowians and people together constitute a micronation.

Statelet Regulation[edit]

The fundamental law of the state stipulates: "Scarecrowians may be reproduced only from and clothed only by waste". Covering the area of 9 m2 (3 x 3 m), the Scarecrow Statelet is among the smallest states in the world. Its highest summit is the Black Hole. The spiral in the landscape connects it to the cosmos. Its time is a spiral on a sphere. It has a square external regulation and a circular internal regulation.

The symbols of the Scarecrow Statelet are: the Flag (designed by Milena Kosec), the Great Seal (designed by Wang Huiqin), and the Hymn (written by Borut Savski).

Currency The smallest unit of currency is 1 Corn kernel.

500 C = 1 Corn cob

5 Cc = 1 Sunflower

The exchange rate for Euro:

1 tin of corn = 239 SIT (a former Slovenian currency, the code for which is also a word meaning full, sated) = 1 Euro

Economy The main and the most important activity remains recycling plastic.

Culture, Religion/Ideology and Knowledge form an inseparable unity.

Army and Police are inherent to the Scarecrowians so they have no need for them.

Administration was abolished. Since 1994 all procedures have been fully self-acting by statelet computer (input data flow through trusty eyes).

Under the Ground Voles are masters of the world under the ground. They are protected by law because they voluntarily constructed an underground railway.

The Sky The Scarecrow Statelet and the Kingdom of Birds have signed a non-aggression treaty. All birds (including birds of prey) control the airspace and have the right to fly over it. Under exceptional circumstances, they can be granted an emergency landing.
