Schools Out Forever is a 2021 post-apocalyptic feature film, telling the story of a 15-year-old survivor taking refuge at his school after a global pandemic.[1] The story is adapted from the Schools Out novels by Scott K. Andrews.[2] It was the first film to be produced by Rebellion, and was due to be digitally released on February 15 and on DVD and Blu-ray on April 12 2021.[3][4]
Filming took place over the summer of 2019, including exterior scenes set at St. Mark's School being shot at Orwell Park School, Suffolk.[5] It was awarded a 15-rating by the British Board of Film Classification[6]
Reception[edit]
In February 2021, The Guardian gave the film a 4 star review.[7] Jennie Kermode, on Eye for Film, awarded it 3 stars.[8]
