Scott W. Atlas is an American physician and health care policy expert. He is senior fellow at the Hoover Institution.[1]
Biography[edit]
Atlas received his MD from the Pritzker School of Medicine at University of Chicago. He currently serves as the David and Joan Traitel senior fellow at the Hoover Institution. Previously he was a professor and Chief of Neuroradiology at Stanford University.
His most recent book is Restoring Quality Health Care: A Six‐Point Plan for Comprehensive Reform at Lower Cost (2016). He is also the author of In Excellent Health: Setting the Record Straight on America’s Health Care System (2011), Reforming America’s Health Care System (2010), and Power to the Patient: Selected Health Care Issues and Policy Solutions (2005).
Atlas served as a senior advisor for health care to presidential campaigns in 2008, 2012, and 2016.
Atlas is the editor of Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain and Spine, the leading textbook in its field.[2]
