Scythian Oath
Scythian Oath was a progressive metal band based out of Austin, Texas which was formed in the early 1980s. In the beginning they started with the moniker Cynwulf as a 5 piece band. At this time the band consisted of David Jancha (Lead Guitars), Sid Donalson (Vocals), Buddy Forsythe (Guitars), David Roach (Bass), and Roger Ables (Drums). In 1984, Jon Liveoak took over drums & Buddy Forsythe became the lead vocalist leaving David Jancha as the sole guitarist. The reformed quartet changed their name to Desecration. The group was known to play several shows with WatchTower and Militia at the Ritz Theater on 6th Street in Austin.
