Sean Narayanan is the EVP and Head of Business and Platform Solutions and a member of the executive committee at Atos SE, a position to which he was appointed in February 2018. He was formally the COO of the B&PS division.[1]
Prior to working with Atos, Narayanan held several leadership roles at LiquidHub, iGate[2], Cognizant and Booz Allen Hamilton[3].
Early life and education[edit]
Narayanan was born in Chennai, India. His father was career civil services official in India and retired from the Indian Railways. Narayanan holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from the National Institute of Technology in Tiruchirappalli, India[4]. He then moved to the United States, where he earned a master’s degree in regional and city planning from the University of Oklahoma[5] and was the recipient of the Highest Academic Achievement award.

Narayanan has a career spanning more than 20 years in technology and management consulting.
Narayanan is currently EVP and Head of the Business and Platform Solution (B&PS) division at Atos, where is responsible for a €4.3 billion division that includes Atos Syntel. He also serves as Chairman of Atos Syntel. He joined Atos in 2016 as COO of the Business and Platform Solution division. During his tenure at Atos, he was responsible for transforming the B&PS business and improving revenue and margins.
Prior to joining Atos, Narayanan was Chief Business Officer of LiquidHub (now Capgemini) and Chairman and Managing Director of LiquidHub India. At iGate (now Capgemini) Narayanan served as Chief Delivery Officer and as a member of the board of iGate Global Solutions, iGate China and iGate Mexico. He was instrumental in growing the company into a market leader with more than $1 billion in revenue. With the support of private equity firm Apax partners, iGate acquired and integrated IT services firm Patni. He has also served as a Vice President at Cognizant between 2002 and 2006. Prior to his tenure at Cognizant, Narayanan held positions with Booz Allen Hamilton[6].
Personal Life[edit]
Sean is married to Yamini Narayanan, an economist that earned her Ph.D. in economics at the University of Oklahoma. They have a son, Kharan Narayanan and daughter, Isha Narayanan.
