SelectScience® is an online science publisher based in Bath, UK.

The company was founded in 1998 by Arif Butt and Louise Butt and currently employs around 40 people at its main office in Corston, Bath, UK.

The SelectScience website publishes editorial news articles and features, emerging technology research and lab equipment information and reviews [1]in the following scientific fields: General Lab, Life Science, Drug Discovery, Environmental, Clinical Diagnostics, Materials, Food and Beverage, Forensics, Lab Informatics, Lab Automation, Separations and Spectroscopy.

Access to the published information is free-of-charge to registered scientific users of the site and includes an email newsletter.

The company was awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade in 2013.

  • 2007 the annual Scientists’ Choice Awards introduced[2]
  • 2013 SelectSCience won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of Outstanding Achievement for International Trade[3]
  • 2014 SelectS cience was named UK Life Science Employer (SME) of the Year[4][5]
  • 2016 launch of the SelectSCeince Global Undergraduate Sponsorship Scheme to give financial support to disadvantaged students studying science at university[6]
  • 2018 The Scientists Channel website launched
