Shahan Kabondho

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Shahan Kabondho is a lyricist and poet in Bangladesh.[1] In fact, today, he is probably one of the most sought-after lyricists, both within the established and the upcoming generations of musicians. He is also the official manager of Bappa Mazumder and his band Dalchhut. Shahan's storytelling through words and lyrics have successfully changed the traditional pattern of Bengali lyrics. Not only does he bring in literature from the rich Bengali heritage, but also plays with contemporary wordplay.

Shahan started writing for musical compositions in 2006 with Bappa Mazumder in Bangladesh. Since then, he has written more than 300 songs, out of which a large number of them are considered top of the chart hits. He has also worked with famous artists such as Fuad Almuqtadir, Foad Naser Babu, Partha Barua, Arnab, Romel Ali, Palash, Sandhi, Arefin Rumi, Sumon, Fahmida Nabi, Kona, Mila, Elita, Joy, Poonam, Ronty, Hridoy Khan, Shuvo, Rafa, Eraj (Sri Lanka), Monali Tagore (India), Shubhomita (India), Shomolota (India), Aselia (Sri Lanka), Shambat Fernando (Sri Lanka) Raj (Sri Lanka) and many more. He has also worked with renowned bands of Bangladesh namely Miles, Dalchhut, Aurthohin, Artcell, Power Surge, Shunno etc. He has written for many commercial jingles, theme songs, and title songs for TV serials, web originals, TV fiction, and films. In 2007, Shahan joined Bappa Mazumder's band Dalchhut as a manager and has been managing the band's shows since then. Still a foreign concept in Bangladesh, one can definitely say that Shahan Kabondho has definitely encouraged the younger generation to think about taking up artist management as a career.
