Shahid Shabaz (born 10 September 1991) is an Indian Sufi singer based in the United Arab Emirate. He is known for being selected as the Voice of UAE in 2016.[1]

Life and career[edit]

Born in Karnataka, India, Shabaz made his solo singing debut in 2009.[2] He rose to fame in 2016 after winning the Voice of UAE title.[3] Subsequently, he started getting live performance requests both from UAE and other countries.[4] He has performed several shows in UAE as well as in India and other countries.[5]

Shabaz is known to be the favorite Bollywood/Sufi singer of UAE.[6] He has a band that comprises of Loyson Corda, the Lead Guitarist, Hisham Ghanem, the Drummer and Rizwan Yaqoob on the Bass guitar.[6] His singing style is influenced by notable singers like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi.[5] Shabaz is currently working on his own album which he is looking forward to launch soon.[2]
