Shahzad Fakhar Ashfaq (born 6 March 1969) is the Ex-Managing Director of Jura Energy Corporation[1], oil & natural gas exploration company from Canada; he has held the Managing Director’s position since 2012 and resigned in May, 2017. [2]
Biography[edit]
Shahzad Fakhar Ashfaq born in 1969, is a Pakistani expat from Singapore. He is a financial analyst and an economist.[3] Shahzad Ashfaq holds a B.A. in International Studies and Economics from Macalester College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. [4] He is the Ex-Managing Director at Merchant Banking Group at Stanhill Capital Partners, USA[5] and Juniper Capital Partners Limited. [6] He was responsible for the management of finance, investor relation and conduction of M & A transactions. He is known for his collaboration in signing the 160 Million USD Pakistan Government Exchangeable bonds deal in Feburary 2000. [7]
His professional career portfolio also consists of the names like REBgold Corporation (involved in discovering of natural resources),[8] Spud Energy Pty Ltd (an oil exploring company), Jura Energy and many other organizations at international level. [9] Shahzad Ashfaq joined Jura Energy Corporation (TSX VENTURE:JEC) in the year 2012 as managing director and played his role in drilling and mining projects like Badin IV in Pakistan. [10] He resigned from Jura Energy in May, 2017 to invest more time in his own business. [11] Currently Shahzad Ashfaq is running his own consultancy business in Karachi, Pakistan.
