Shameel Chembakath born in Malappuram, Kerala (12 Jan 1986) is an AFC 'A' License Football Coach[1], who is currently working in Kerala Blasters Youth and Reserves teams[2]. Shameel is also a former Indian professional footballer. During his playing days, Shameel played for Mohammedan Sporting Club, Kolkata, Vasco Sports Club Goa, Bengal Mumbai Football Club and Viva Kerala from 2004–2009. During his playing career he played Federation Cup, IFA Shield, National 2nd division league and various tournaments for the clubs. Shameel also have been called for Indian National Team camp in 2007 for the Pre Olympic Qualifier Competitions.
