Sheikh Bilal Khan MBA is a British-born entrepreneur and business leader who is a third generation British citizen after his grandfather served in the British navy and subsequently settled in the United Kingdom. He is involved in many geo-strategic projects in different parts of the world including the United Kingdom and also the regions that are covered by the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) of Kazakhstan, namely Central Asia, the Caucasus, Eurasian Economic Union, China, Mongolia, Middle East and Europe. His family originates from Pakistan and as such he is equally interested in the strategic business opportunities that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) offers as well as those related to China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Sheikh Bilal is uniquely positioned for his award-winning international business management and corporate leadership skills as well as being a lawyer/advocate of the Senior Courts of England & Wales after training and qualifying as an English lawyer/attorney at a ‘Magic Circle’ top five English law firm in the City of London. He was given the highest honour of London when he was presented with the Freedom of the City of London which was previously also given to Princess Diana, Nelson Mandela (the legendary former President of South Africa), Sir Winston Churchill (the most renowned former British Prime Minister), Theodore Roosevelt (26th President of USA), Dwight Eisenhower (34th President of USA) and some other famous personalities.

Sheikh Bilal is a special adviser to numerous presidents’ offices and prime ministers’ offices as well as serving on several multi-lateral, government and quasi-government boards in a special advisory capacity in multiple jurisdictions around the world. His business management, strategic leadership and international legal expertise covers the full spectrum of industries, sectors and services and related laws and regulations.

Sheikh Bilal has long-standing corporate, finance and legal experience whereby he is involved in cross border transactions, international advisory work and all forms of dispute resolution including serving as an approved international arbitrator/judge adjudicating in high profile commercial legal disputes. He serves as one of ten British international arbitrators along with senior British judges and Queens Counsel at the International Arbitration Centre based out of the AIFC in Kazakhstan. AIFC has been established as an international and regional financial hub which is solely based on English common law principles and jurisdiction and provides a unique opportunity for regional players to tap into international markets. Sheikh Bilal also serves on the Advisory Council of the AIFC along with other central boards.

Sheikh Bilal has recently served in numerous high profile posts as Vice Chairman of the Mosaic International Leadership Program of the UK Prince’s Trust, as Senior Adviser to the British All Party Parliamentary Group which is composed of Parliamentarians from both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, as UK Catalyst and Business Ambassador at the UK Government’s Department for Trade & Investment and as Special Adviser on the Board of the Middle East Association, which was created by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

Sheikh Bilal was invited to feature in the television series ‘Secrets of Success’ as part of 20 London-based personalities which is now showing on British Airways In-flight. He holds Master of Business Administration in Legal Services, M.A. in Banking, Finance & Management and LL.B (Hons) in Law from British universities with proficiency in multiple languages including English, Arabic and Urdu.
