Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash is the Chairman of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League. [1]

Parash was born to Awami League leader Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani and Arzu Moni. [2]

His father Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani (4 December 1939 – 15 August 1975) was a Bangladeshi politician,the nephew of the founding father of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and founded the Mujib Bahini (Bangladesh Liberation Force-BLF)[3],one of the major guerrilla forces of the Bangladesh Liberation War.

His parents were both assassinated on 15 August 1975 in a military coup that also killed Bangabandu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other members of his family. Parash and his younger brother Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh (Mayor of South Dhaka) survived. Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh

Parash, the eldest son of Jubo League founder Sheikh Fazlul Huq Moni, was elected unopposed during its 7th national congress. [4]

Parash had been pursuing a career in academia having obtained a degree in English from Dhaka University. His uncle Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim is a member of the Awami League's presidium and a former chairman of Jubo League.
