Shining was an English rock band founded by John Bagguley, Julian Beeston and Steve White. The band released a studio album in 1995 titled Din and a remix album in 1997 titled Dinmix.[1]

History[edit]

Shining was founded in 1994 in the United Kingdom by John Bagguley, Julian Beeston and Steve White. The band's debut studio album titled Din was released by Synthetic Symphony in 1995. The music was compared to Gravity Kills, Machines of Loving Grace and Stabbing Westward.[2] In 1997 the band released a remix album titled Dinmix on Iris Light Records.[3] On February 11, 1997 Shining's debut was reissued on Fifth Colvmn Records.[4] The remix EP Dinmix by Powertools was also released that year.[5] An extended version of the "Hysteria" Die Krupps remix was released on Fifth Colvmn's World War Underground compilation.[6][7]
