Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly is a self financed institute managed and run by SRMS Trust, Bareilly. Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology has an independent residential campus spread over 35 acres of land with all weather roads, lush green lawns, playgrounds, Multi-Purpose Hall, Gymnasium, Squash Court and 53020 sq.m. of built up area on the campus. The campus is aesthetically planned and designed with exquisite facilities.
The college offers courses of undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a professional or vocational orientation to internationally recognised standards of excellence. All courses lay emphasis on practicals and are multi-disciplinary in approach. The college inculcates Values, Ethics in its students, so that the PRIDE of SRMSCET will become the ASSET of our Nation.
The College has demonstrated the perennial evidence for merit and quality. It is developing by leaps and bounds in terms of infrastructural facilities and human capital not only to fulfil the requirements of the current technological status but also to set itself as teaching and research centre of eminence in future.

It was founded in 1996 in the memory of Shri Ram Murti Ji.[1] and the college has demonstrated perennial evidence of merit and quality by achieving a respectable position among all parallel private and govt. colleges of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow Uttar Pradesh.

Admissions[edit]
Admissions for various courses are done according to the guidelines of AICTE and Affiliating University. Admissions are done through State Entrance Examinations of Uttar Pradesh (SEE-UPTU). However, admissions for management quota seats are done by the college according to the norms and guidelines of Affiliating University. Applications for admissions are invited from February/March every year and candidates are required to appear in the admission test.
Scholarship[edit]
SRMS Trust offers Merit Scholarships,[12] of Rupees TWO CRORE each year to meritorious students of this college along with other institutions run by the Trust. The following criteria are followed for the scholarship in different categories:

Examination[edit]
A system of continuous evaluation learning and performance is used for holistic development of the students. Besides examinations, the evaluations are done on regularity along with active participation in Co-curricular and Extra-Curricular activities. According to the prescribed curriculum Internal & External examinations are conducted as per University Guidelines as given below:
- Sessional Tests (Internal) for Theory and Practical subjects: These are conducted by college during each semester.
- External Examinations (Theory and Practical): It is conducted by the affiliating university AKTU at the end of the semester.
Results are compiled and declared by the affiliating university on semester basis. The Choice Based Credit System of curriculum is followed for declaration of final result of the students on year basis.
Placements[edit]
Training, Development & Placement (TDP) Cell – SRMS Institutions, Bareilly – Unnao - Lucknow strives for the best placement of students through its constant endeavour in preparing students for taking up challenges in the corporate world. The TDP Cell takes initiatives to provide industrial training and placement assistance to its students. The cell also works for growth and development of professional skills amongst the students by organising Industrial Training and Guest Lectures from senior professionals of the corporate world. For the last two decades, TDP Cell is continuously working for visit of MNCs and companies of National repute for recruitment of students.
Alumni of SRMS are working at leading positions in MNCs. Alumni of this college share their experiences through Alumni Speaks forum and through the SRMS Alumni Association.
