Shriyanka Sadangi is an Indian Born Shooter who competes in the AR40 event. She has won the women's junior gold at the ISSF international junior competition in Suhl, Germany. She is supported by the GoSports Foundation through the Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance Programme.
Early life and background[edit | edit source]
Shriyanka is Born and Brought up in Delhi. Being the daughter of an Army officer, She developed an interest in shooting naturally. Shriyanka got selected as part of a scheme started by the Indian Army called “Mission Olympics- Catch Them Young”, where the Army had selected few kids of Army personnel from all over the country to train them in various sport
Career[edit | edit source]
She got selected for shooting after giving trials for it even though she did not have any shooting experience prior to these trials. She started shooting in 2006 and was initially coached by Subedar Krishan Singh & Subedar Pratap Patil. She has already got several medals under her lockers such as the Silver medal at the Intershoot Shooting Championship in the Netherlands and a Bronze medal at the 8th Asian Airgun Championship in New Delhi. She considers Olympic Silver Medalist Rajya Vardhan Singh Rathore as her idol. She is currently training at the Gagan Narang Shooting Academy.
