Simon Gerard is an Australian businessman[1][2][3] who is the Executive Chairman of Gerard Sourcing & Manufacturing,[4][5] which oversees the management of major Australian brands[6] such as Mistral,[6][7][8][9] Bellini Appliances amongst others. He studied at the University of South Australia[1]

Simon Gerard was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Gerard Lighting in 2010.[10] which had Initial public offering and raised $85m.[11] Gerard Lighting had annual revenues of 25% to 30% of the Australian lighting market of $1.5 billion.[12][13][11]

Simon Gerard is the son of Robert Gerard, and they are one of Australia's richest families, appearing at No.199 in the latest BRW Rich 200 with an estimated family fortune of $250 million.[10][14]

He was born in South Australia.

His grandfather, A. E. Gerard was a prominent South Australian businessman and politician who founded the Clipsal brand.[20] Simon's Father, Robert Gerard was a board member of the Reserve Bank of Australia from March 2003 to December, 2005, and took over Clipsal to turn it into a worldwide brand, which was later sold to Schneider Electric for $750m.[21]

The Gerard family have over 100 years involved in South Australian businesses.
