Sinu Joseph is one of the pioneers of menstrual awareness and menstrual health movement in India. She is also an author of two books on the Science behind Menstruation and Menstrual practices which Sinu has unearthed from the study of ancient science behind native menstrual practices and has uniquely brought out a unique perspective on menstruation.
She is the co-founder and Managing Trustee of Mythri Speaks. She also works with The Forward Foundation. She has surveyed and studied several temples of India and observed the restrictions owing to menstruation and their impact on women’s menstrual health.
Her book ‘Woman & Sabarimala" is written from a woman’s perspective, explained through India’s traditional knowledge systems, such as Tantra and Agama Shastra.
Her next and latest book - "Rtu Vidya" goes on an India-wide study, deeper and further in to menstrual practices in light of indigenous native sciences.
