Sisiku Ayuktabe Julius
Sisiku Ayuktabe Julius is a political leader of a movement seeking the independence of the former British Trust Territory of the Southern Cameroons from the Republic of Cameroon. He is currently the president of the international not recognized country called Federal Republic of Ambazonia. Ayuktabe is a native from Manyu Division, Cameroon. He obtained a master's degree in control engineering from the University of Sheffield and a BSc degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Keele University, United Kingdom..[1] He further holds the traditional title “Sisiku” or “Sessekou” which means an honourable man. In July 2017 he was elected as the chairman of an umbrella group of Southern Cameroonian activists[2][3][4]. In October 2017 he was elected as their president.[5] In January 2018 Ayuktabe was abducted alongside 9 members of his cabinet during a meeting at a hotel in Abuja, Nigeria.[6][7]
