SkunkApeKiller Manifesto

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The SkunkApeKiller Manifesto is a formula that ensures that all 144 FBS football schools have a chance at winning a FBS National Championship.

There are six "Power 6" conferences that play 2 out of conference games (home, away, or neutral) and 8 conference games every year(4 home and 4 away every year). There are also four "Group of 4" conferences that play 2 out of conference games (home, away, or neutral), 2 flex games (one in conference and one out of conference), and 6 conference games every year (3 home and 3 away every year).

The P6 conferences are the Pac 12, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, and the AAC. The G4 conferences are the Sun Belt, Mid-American, Conference USA, and the Mountain West.

The Pac 12 consists of California, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, Washington, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, Colorado, USC, and Utah.

The Big 12 consists of Boise State, BYU, Fresno State, Iowa State, Kansas State, San Diego State, Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, TCU, and Texas Tech.

The Big 10 consists of Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue, and Wisconsin.

The SEC consists of Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.

The ACC consists of BC, Cincinnati, Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, West Virginia, Clemson, Duke, Louisville, Memphis, Miami, and Wake Forest.

The AAC consists of Army, Central Florida, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Liberty, Navy, UNC-Charlotte, South Florida, Air Force, Colorado State, Houston, New Mexico, New Mexico State, SMU, UTEP, and Tulsa.

The Sun Belt consists of UConn, Delaware, Maine, UMass, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, UAB, Georgia Southern, UL-Lafayette, UL-Monroe, South Alabama, Southern Mississippi, and Troy.

The MAC consists of Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Kent State, Marshall, Miami, Ohio, Ball State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, Northern Illinois, Toledo, and Western Michigan.

The C-USA consists of Appalachian State, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Georgia State, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Western Kentucky, Arkansas State, LA Tech, North Texas, Rice, UT-San Antonio, Texas State, and Tulane.

The MWC consists of Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah State, Alaska, Cal-Davis, Hawaii, UNLV, Portland State, Sacramento State, and San Jose State.

Sixteen of the 144 teams make a 16 team national tournament. Automatic bids come from the champions of the Pac 12, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, and the AAC. Automatic bids also come from the champion of the winner of the MWC / MAC championship game and the champion of the winner of the Sun Belt / C-USA championship game. So there are 8 automatic bids and 8 more at large bids determined through a computer formula similar to D1 NCAA hockey.

The first two rounds of National Tournament are held on campus at highest ranked seed. The National Semi-Finals and National Championship games are held at neutral sites (AT&T Stadium, NRG Stadium, Mercedez-Benz Superdome). Teams that do not make the National Tournament are free to accept bids to Bowl Games that run concurrently to the National Tournament.
