Softcom Limited is a software company based in Nigeria focused on using technology in improving learning, job creation, payments, data management and insights for businesses all across Africa.[1][2]

History[edit]

Softcom which was launched in 2008 with its headquarters based in Lagos was founded by Yomi Adedeji and Omoseindemi Olobayo both graduates of the Covenant university, Otta.[3]

In 2015, Softcom in collaboration with Diamond Bank and Samsung set up a technology intervention fund worth $100 million for education development in Nigeria.[4]

In tackling unemployment and fulfilling the ERDP, Softcom in 2016 designed and built the NPower employment program for the Federal Government of Nigeria.[5] The NPower program specifically offers training and employment for over 500 thousand unemployed young Nigerians.[6]

In 2018, Softcom was included as part of the 28-man presidential advisory team set up by the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to advice on private-public partnerships and technology collaborations with Silicon Valley.[3]
