Soham Mukhopadhyay (born 13 august 1985) popularly known as the Father of "Nose'monica"( Nose Harmonica ) is a Kolkata based musician composer, harmonica player.[1]

Personal life[edit]

Soham Mukhopadhyay was born on 13th August at Burdwan, India, to Satinath Mukhopadhyay, who is a Bengali Recitor of yesteryears, and Purnima Mukhopadhyay, a Versatile Singer . He started learning recitation , acting and music both from his childhood . Due to the Musical bent of his mother , music came to him spontaneously.

Soham has been married to a Bengali Girl Payel Mukhopadhyay since 2017.

Career in Alternative Music[edit]

At the age of 10, Soham started learning Harmonica, later he felt very passionate about it as it was a tiny and pocket friendly musical instrument and also cheaper than other instruments. Soham's idols were, Milan Gupta,  Saikat Mukherjee, Larry Adler  and the famous musician director of Bollywood movies R. D Burman,who has introduced harmonica properly in Indian commercial movies. While learning harmonica suddenly he thought that harmonica is basically a blowing instrument, which is played by mouth. But if we can breathe thorough nose then why harmonica can be played with nose too. At the very first time when he generated that idea it seems like unbelievable and impossible,  but Soham made it possible by continuously practicing some ancient yoga techniques.

After that he started playing harmonica by nose continuously for hours and because this unique ability he was able to achieve More than 16 world records and received the title "The father of Nose'monica" from international organization. Many honorable person like ex-minister of West Bengal Sri Madan Mitra,  minister of consumer forum Sri Sadhan Pandey, power minister honorable Sri Sovondeb Chatterjee, chairperson of women commission Smt. Sunanda Mukhopadhyay etc have appreciated his rare talent. He has completed more than 500 Shows in all over India and was highly appreciated by all.

He performed in international Book fair in Delhi , Atri festival in Odisha , and lots of festival in Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh. For his unique ability he was invited from Germany, USA, Poland etc. All the famous newspapers and TV channels like Anandabazar Patrika,  Aajkal , Times of IndiaHindustan Times, The Hindu, coalfield times, the Central Chronicle , star Ananda, ETV Bangla etc

Awards[edit]

He had received more than 16 World Record certificate from USA Record Setter [2] [3] [4], Limca Book of Record, Bharat Book of Records, URF Record Forum, assist world record etc and received more than 500 award in recitation, music and creativity section.

He received the Bharat Siromoni International Award,  the very popular award of Andhra Pradesh  and record creator from Record holder and achievers association (international).
