Sophie Green, BA (born 28 February 1992) is a contemporary Fine Artist and Businesswoman from Surrey, England.[1] She is the founder of online art gallery and art store Art Basket.[1] Sophie is known for her photo-realistic portraits of animals and her animal welfare and animal rights activism. Career[edit]
After receiving a first class Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Brighton, England, Sophie began selling original paintings and art prints of animals, before founding online art gallery and art store, Art Basket.[1] Sophie initially started the company with the intention of opening up a more 'curated' platform for independent Artists to both showcase and sell their work.[3][4]
Donating 10% of all profits from her sales to animal charities, Sophie uses her art to raise awareness of animal welfare topics and advocate animal rights.[2]
