Sourabh Choudhary is the National General Secretary of Bhartiya Janta Party's youth wing, Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM)[1]

Early Life and Education[edit]

Sourabh Choudhary was born on 7th October 1984 in Delhi. He studied Bachelor of Arts from Hindu College, Delhi University and Masters in Law from Karnataka University.

Political Career[edit]

Under MP Anurag Thakur's leadership Sourabh was made the BJYM Social Media Coordinator. Sourabh executed many campaigns such as Kranti Rally, Rashtriya Ekta Yatra in Kolkata, and mobilised the youth to join BJYM and sensitised them about party's vision and work.

In 2017 Uttar Pradesh elections, he managed campaigns for many politicians including Somendra Tomar who won a seat in Meerut.[2]

When Poonam Mahajan took over as the BJYM President, she took into consideration Sourabh's work.[3] His appointment reverberates party's #IAmNewIndia philosophy.

Activities[edit]

In June 2017, BJYM held a protest against Congress leader, Sandeep Dikshit's residence for his remarks against Army chief. Sourabh said, "Such unwanted comments and derogatory remarks result in the lowering the national esteem It hampers the morale of the Army."[4][5]

BJYM celebrated the GST's launch at India Gate by launching firecrackers. They played music and distributed sweets among the people at India Gate to celebrate the historic moment. Sourabh Chaudhary was present on the occasion.[6]

As a part of BJYM, Sourabh is a part of various protests held by BJYM. On 17th July 2017, BJYM held a protest at Jantar Mantar in memory of a suspected gang-rape and murder victim of Himachal Pradesh.[7]
