Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial famous for devastating kicks, in which the practitioner use many kicks compared to hand strikes. Taekwon-Do was introduced to Sri Lanka in 1976 by Master Dr. Cyril Antony (6^th Dan Black Belt) who learnt this great art under the founder of Taekwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi.

Sri Lanka Taekwon-Do Association was established in 1976 February 19th in Colombo and since then Master Cyril Antony has produced thousands of blackbelters from the Sri Lanka Taekwon-Do Association.
