St. Cyprian's Chapel (Franklin, North Carolina)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Saint Cyprian's Episcopal Chapel is a Chapel of All Saints Episcopal Church. From 1888 until 2014 St. Cyprian's was its own Episcopal Parish but in November of that year it officially merged with St. Agnes Episcopal Church to form an entirely new parish: All Saints Episcopal Church.[1] All Saints is one congregation making use of two buildings: St. Agnes Chapel and St. Cyprian's Chapel. They use their website and Facebook to publish their worship schedule and keep parishioners and visitors up to date on where worship will be each Sunday.[2]

The Chapel is an historic Carpenter Gothic Revival Episcopal church building located at 216 Roller Mill Rd. in Franklin, Macon County, North Carolina. It was constructed in 1887-1888 by the Rev. John Deal, its founder, and the Rev. James Kennedy, its first Deacon in Charge. St. Cyprian's was an historically black church that racially integrated in the 1980's.[3]
