St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospitals' Boat Club or Barts and The London Boat Club (BLBC) is the rowing club for Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Founded in 1844, it is the oldest hospital boat club in the world and is both a sporting and social one. It caters to all abilities from those who are complete beginners to those who are elite rowers. In order to become a member one must first be a student enrolled at Queen Mary University of London, study either one of Medicine or Dentistry and pay a subscription fee to the club for the academic year.[1]
