StartupSoft

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

StartupSoft is a software company, founded in August 2016 by brothers Alex Vasylyk and Andrew Vasylyk, with offices in San Francisco, Lviv and Ternopil.[1][2][3]

Its virtual startup accelerator program helps early stage startups with software, mentorship and fundraising.[4] In 2018, StartupSoft announced that it plans to enter the venture capital space by launching a program that invests in founders with previous exits (e.g. acquisitions, mergers or IPOs).[5]

Notable projects[edit]

Ukrainians.co[edit]

In light of President Petro Poroshenko issuing a ban on VK in Ukraine,[6][7][8] StartupSoft launched a landing page on May 17, 2017 asking Ukrainians to express their interest in a homegrown social network. [9][10][11][12][13] The 50,000 subscriptions goal was reached in 3 days [14] and StartupSoft proceeded to develop Ukrainians.co further.[15][16][17][18][19]

After 3 months since inception, Ukrainians.co was released on iOS, Android and web, and gained close to half a million users, but was ultimately shut down citing that it lost the race to close the gap in the Ukrainian social networking market to Facebook.[20]

BitSpace[edit]

As an EOS block producer candidate, BitSpace partnered with StartupSoft to create the world's first EOS academy and workshop.[21]
