Stephane Malenou

Stephane Malenou is a professional boxer, born in Cameroon. He was a former national team champion in Cameroon. He fought in Kazakhstan at the 2002 World Cup representing Cameroon. Stephane made his professional debut in November 2003 in France, he was the lightweight champion of the French Cup in 2004. He fought in the welterweight division in the 2005 French Cup and placed 2nd. In France, Stephane did not have the right team and the right opportunity, resulting in only one fight per year in 2006 & 2007. He decided to move to New York in order pursue his careers goals. He had his professional debut in Brooklyn, New York, USA at the Aviator Sports Center. Fighting against Reggie Holly on ESPN2 and won by unanimous decision. In 2014, Stephane trained in Las Vegas with Floyd Mayweather's boxing club for one and a half years. He did not have a chance to fight because he experienced an injury in both hands. Stephane had to go back to Paris for hand surgery. In 2017, he returned to the ring and won by TKO in the 5th round at La Tohu in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
