Steven Kolber is a Government school teacher in Melbourne Australia, known for his use of Instructional Video[1][2] and sharing video content on Youtube. In 2021, he was named a top 50 finalist in the Global Teacher Prize[3][4][5]. As a teacher-researcher, he is known for leading the academic reading group for teachers known as #edureading[6].

Career[edit]

Kolber begun teaching at Brunswick Secondary College in 2009, after graduating from Australian Catholic University[7]. He volunteers for, and was Secretary of the Not for Profit organisation Teachers Across Borders Australia. In 2021, Kolber began tutoring Pre-service teachers at Victoria University, and in 2022 began tutoring at the University of Melbourne; as well as working as a research assistant at Deakin University. As a teacher-researcher, Kolber writes research concerned with teaching, Professional Learning and Social Media.
