Sticky is a technology company that has developed a platform for webcam-based eye tracking making the benefits of eye tracking accessible on the internet and providing brand advertisers with objective data for optimization of digital branding performances.

Sticky was founded in 2010 by Mathias Plank as a spin-off from Tobii Technology and is today led by CEO Hans Lee.
In May 2012, Northzone Ventures invested $3 million in the company.[1] In April 2013, the company raised an additional $3 million in venture capital from Northzone and Conor Venture partners[2]

Sticky has offices in San Francisco, New York City and Stockholm. The solutions are sold directly and through resellers and partners worldwide.

Markets[edit]

Sticky sells access to the Sticky Insight and Audit platform where clients can track and optimize their visual impact on websites, images, emails, and videos, among others. Sticky also offers access to the technology through an automatic API for market research and service companies.

On August 10, 2016, Sticky launched its Video Emotion Analytics tool[3] that allows video content creators to measure their viewers' emotions while watching the videos. While watching a video, Sticky (anonymously) records the participants' faces; then, Sticky runs their faces through an automated algorithm that analyzes their facial expressions and infers their emotions.[4]

Awards[edit]

In 2013, Sticky received the Highly Commended Award from IAB Europe in the Branding category.[5] The same year, Sticky Inc President Jeff Bander was named 2013 ARF Great Mind Award Winner.[6] In 2012, Sticky won the Anderson Analytics’ Disruptive Innovation Award,[7] and in 2011 the company was listed as one of the Top 100 most innovative companies in Europe by Red Herring.[not in citation given][8]
