The Structural Engineers Association of Southern California (SEAOSC), established in 1929, is the oldest structural engineering association in the world. SEAOSC is one of the four member organizations of the Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC). SEAOSC members regularly engage in practice of structural engineering in the construction industry that also encompasses academia, contractors, architects, and government officials.[1]. SEAOSC, as an organization, promotes the vast contributions of structural engineering to the overall society through its membership values, image and advocacy, building codes and standards, education and legislative participation.
