Switch TV Kenya is a young, energetic, and dynamic new TV station that bridges the gap between traditional and social media. It is fully owned by The Kenya Red Cross Society Switch TV has over 60% local content showcasing fresh talent and creating employment for hundreds of young Kenyans. 18-24 year olds as the primary audience - those in universities/colleges as well as those running hustles for their daily upkeep. The secondary target audience is 25-35-year-old who are working to support their young families. Humanitarian service excellence, as well as resource and financial sustainability are among the priority strategic areas of focus for the Kenya Red Cross Society. Through its sustainability pillar, the Society engages in new and alternative sources of income to best fund its humanitarian work. The revenue from Switch TV therefore boosts the emergency response kitty of the Kenya Red Cross Society and other cross-sector development programmes.
