Early Life[edit]
Lopez was born in Fullerton, California on April 11, 1977. According to an interview with Brian Rashin of Forbes, Lopez's life as an entrepreneur began when he was six years old, by selling his mother's tomatoes. After dropping out of college, much of what he would set out to do for the next ten years of his life consisted of steering himself towards finding the meaning of the "Good Life".[1]
Reading the books that were passed down from his grandfather, inspired him to continue reading until he decided he wanted to meet the people that he was reading about who also inspired him.[2] [3] He saved enough money to travel to 51 countries in an attempt to meet such authors. He spent two and a half years living with Amish, working at leper colony in India. Lopez was an employee at GE Capital.
After dropping out of College, Lopez grabbed a yellow pages from the kitchen and inspected the finance section, and found a man named Mike. He decided to pay him a visit since he had the biggest ad in the section. Lopez visited Mike and told him that he is willing to work for free if the man teaches him and mentors him in what he knows about business and finance. Lopez has revealed on Social Media that before his success in his businesses, he had around $47 in his bank account and slept on his mothers couch.
Businesses[edit]
Tai Lopez created the online program named 67 steps. Lopez describes the program as "learning the 67 steps to become a millionaire, how to live the good life and the grand theory of everything." The 67 steps is a video course where you pay Tai Lopez $67 a month for advise on creating businesses.[4] Lopez has started, invested, and owned many night clubs on the east coast.
Many of the night clubs that he owned and started have already changed names numerous times. In some articles, he states that he still has ownership in some of the clubs. Tai also started up Legacy Life Group with a friend John Dewar. Tai released ownership later and became an investor. The company was later changed to LLG Financial and then later to LPL Financial and retirementgeeks.com.
