Tara Baswani is an award winning performing artist, music director, concept designer, and entertainment culture strategist, bridging creative platforms with civic impact.

Recipient of the prestigious Herald Angel Award[1], Tara broke professional ground as a leading creative voice for television, film, radio and advertising, with shows on National Geographic, Discovery, MTV and clients like Pepsi, Samsung, etc. to her credit. Her solo & collaborative works have been presented through North America, Asia and Europe, on varied platforms ranging from The Royal Albert Hall, Place Des Arts, South Bank Center, Fuji Dome to universities like MIT, McGill, and IIT.

As the first Indian musician to collaborate with the Cirque Du Soleil, her work as an artist and songwriter has featured on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Night Show with Conan O’ Brien, Fuji TV, CBC and through world tours. She now develops talent for them globally as an independent casting partner and cultural strategist.

Tara's solo music project, Quest (2015) received acclaim on international platforms like CBC, NPR, KEXP, Sirius XM[2], TIFF (2015), Hatch Latin Am (2016)[3], WSF (2016). The audiovisual conceptual project was applauded at COP 21 (2015)[4] for its social initiatives, and her company, LembasWorks, for it's interactive, eco-responsible live show design.

Ambassador for "Cultural and Philosophical Expressions for Social Change" at the World Social Forum[5], (Montreal, 2016), Tara represented India and Canada as an Artist/Speaker with a case for "Creating Social Responsibility through Entertainment".

In 2013, she co-founded LembasWorks, an entertainment consultancy firm with social responsibility at its core, producing unique cultural experiences connecting the worlds of entertainment with new business and sustainable values.

She brings over 25 years of international experience in entertainment with diverse communities, towards initiating thought leadership and education through the arts.
