Tarik Rêver ( born as Tarik Abdul-Alim June 14 1978 ) is a non-binary American civil rights activist, singer song-writer, influencer, and model.[1] They continues to protect the rights of women, children, civil rights, and LGBT communities. In addition Tarik Rêver is also outspoken against all forms of racism and a animal rights advocate with a vegan platform. On June 18th 2020 they were listed as one of the top 20 influencers of 2020 for fashion by Afluencer.[2] Currently the spokesperson for Social Bleu. A app created to provide a social media platform for the disabled.[3]

Paradigm Shift[edit]

At one time a dancer but in 2015 Tarik Rêver shifted to modeling after becoming differently abled in a wheelchair from Myasthenia Gravis.

Earthdance[edit]

Earthdance happens once a year and in this time was before Tarik Rêver became disabled. They gathered local performers as well as performed himself to increase attendance for the fundraiser. The event was created by the Houston Hare Krishna center to feed local starving children.

Monsterz and Phantom of the Opera at the Hobby Center[edit]

Similar to this event they danced at two Hobby Center performances. 2 plays titled Monsterz and Phantom of the Opera.[7] They were directed by Shawn Welling of Welling Films.[8] The proceeds for the benefit went to Houston children in need.

Modeling and fashion design[edit]

Tarik Rêver was one of the fashion designers for a fashion show filmed for PBS at the Houston Artery.[7]

In 2008 Tarik Rêver did a photo shoot and interview for Sinical Magazine.

On April 11, 2020 They became the main model and spokesperson for Social Bleu.[9]

Tarik Rêver has modeled for vegan brands such as Just 4 You Online UK.[10]

During the stay at home act Tarik Rêver teamed up with several influencers on the subject of how to maintain a body positive attitude during quarantine.[11].
