Ten Count is a feature length documentary directed by Nathanael Wiseman[1] that explores the modern impact of mental health and how it affects those in the spotlight. The film follows the come back of ex-professional footballer turned professional boxer Leon McKenzie pulling back the curtain on the world of sport and delving into the realities athletes face throughout their life and how it can impact their mental health. [2]
Drawn from hours of exclusive, intimate interviews with some of the world’s top athletes as well as leading psychologists, psychiatrists, neuroscientists, doctors, managers, agents and family members. From childhood sacrifices to parental pressures, to the trauma of injuries, the corrosive nature of fame, addictions, to the adjustment of retirement.[3]
