The Ten Summoner's Tales Tour was a concert tour by British rock music performer Sting in support of the Ten Summoner's Tales album, which was released on February 25, 1993.[1] The Ten Summoner's Tales album featured the core members of the touring band from his previous release, The Soul Cages.[2] The Ten Summoner's Tales album and touring band included Sting (Vocals/Bass), Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), David Sancious (keyboards) and Dominic Miller (guitars).[3] Prior to launching the tour in England, Sting appeared on Saturday Night Live on February 20th, 1993.[4] He also performed at Carnegie Hall for the Rock for the Rainforest benefit on March 2, 1993.[5] However, due to a bout with laryngitis, Sting was forced to delay the tour launch and postponed the first three concerts in London (March 8-10, 1993).[6] The Ten Summoner's Tales Tour finally kicked off on March 12, 1993 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.[7]

Supporting acts for the Ten Summoner's Tales Tour included Melissa Etheridge and James Taylor.[8][9]

Sting was the supporting act for eleven dates in the Grateful Dead 1993 Tour.[10]

During the course of the Ten Summoner's Tales Tour, Sting also performed at festivals and benefit concerts. On September 6, 1993, Sting was the headline act at "The Concert for Walden Woods" (organized by Don Henley).[11][12] While on a break from the tour in October 1993, Sting performed at the Night of the Proms concert series in Belgium and The Netherlands.[13][14] After a performance in Johannesburg, South Africa, Sting left the tour briefly to perform at the Stonewall Benefit Concert ("The 1994 Equality Show") on October 23, 1994 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.[15][16] As a supporter of environmental causes, Sting performed at the 1994 and 1995 Rock for the Rainforest benefit concerts.[17][18]
