The Amy May Trust is a private trust founded in the name of Amy May Shead, a Briitsh nut allergy sufferer who suffered severer brain damage from anaphylaxis after consuming nut products while in Budapest. Launched in 2015, the primary public aim of the foundation is to raise awareness on the serious of nut allergies and the fatal consequence of their consumption.
In August 2014, The Trust gained exposure due to the launch of a national campaign to ban the sale of nuts on commercial airlines. . The petition, which was started on Change.org gained 150,000 signatures in 24 hours.
