The Ardee School is a chain of schools in New Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, and Goa founded by Ms. Shefali Varma, its Chairperson[1] and Late Mr. Ashok Varma, Chairman and Managing Director, Ardee Group and President, Fore School of Management[2].

Curriculum[edit]

The K-12 program of the schools follow the Cambridge curriculum, with elements of the National Curriculum of England and Wales at Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 and the IGCSE and A levels at Key Stage 4 and 5 respectively.[3] The pre-primary schools offer a Montessori curriculum.[4] The curriculum is standardized across all the campuses.

World Studies[edit]

World Studies is a cross-curricula feature conducted as a daily lesson to establish an understanding of multiculturalism with the idea to enable the students to respect and accept all the cultures in the society. The school also employs VR Box Technology to teach Science, Math and Humanities and offers virtual tours of different environments, under this. In the past, it has conducted a virtual tour of the White House for its secondary students.[3]

College Bridge Program[edit]

The school has collaborated with the Ansal University to launch a college bridge program to be followed as a part of the school's academic calendar in March every year. The six-day program has been designed for students of grade 8 and above. The first college bridge program was conducted in March 2018 with a focus on Design and Architecture.[5]

Ardee Girls in Sports Program[edit]

The Ardee School's “Ardee Girls in Sports [GIS]”, is a national program across all their schools, to recognize and support their students to take up professional sports at the national and international level.[6]

Katya Ida Coelho, a student of The Ardee School, is the first Indian girl to have represented India at the Youth Olympics 2014 in China.[7] She also represented India at the Asian Games 2018 as a part of the sailing team "(Mixed RS One)".[8]

Campuses[edit]

  • The Ardee School, Sujan Singh Park was the first campus and was established in 2003. This school is a pre-primary school following the Montessori curriculum.[3]
  • The Ardee School, Gurugram, established in 2008, is a K-12 school.[9]
  • The Ardee School, Goa, a K-12 school located in Sangolda, was established in 2009.
  • The Ardee School, Noida, established in 2014, is a pre-primary school and offers Montessori curriculum.
  • The Ardee School, New Friends Colony, the newest campus, was established in 2017. It is a K-12 school, featuring a green building. Its campus also houses a 'Makers Lab' where students work with 3-D printers, laser cutters, wood working equipment for digital and metal fabrication.[3] During November 2017, New Delhi witnessed near zero visibility due to smog and the government announced closure of all schools in National Capital Region for 2 days.[10] At that time, The Ardee School, NFC rolled out e-classrooms for students of grade 4 and above wherein, students attended school from their homes and were taught via distance learning.[11]

Teacher's training centre[edit]

The Ardee School offers training in Montessori elementary education with the help of an in-house teacher training program. The trainees at the Ardee Teacher Training Centre also assist in running an educational program for the students of Manzil, an NGO, at the Ardee Creche.[12]

  • 2019: "Research and Development Award" at the F1 in Schools second North India regional finals.[13]
  • 2018: Education World magazine ranked The Ardee School, New Friends Colony as the third best preschool in Delhi.[14]
  • 2014: Education World magazine ranked The Ardee School as the sixth best school in India in EWISR[15] (Education World India School Rankings).[12]
  • 2013: Education World magazine ranked The Ardee School as the second best school in India in EWISR (Education World India School Rankings).[12]
